Description: Fitter Welder – DIRECT HIRE OPPORTUNITY!!
Location: Waukesha, WI
Shifts: 1st and 2nd shift available
Pay: Based on experience - plus a $3 shift premium for 2nd and 3rd shift
One Source Staffing is hiring Fitter Welders for a well-established, family-owned manufacturer in Waukesha. The company has been run by three generations of the same family for more than 50 years. It serves clients around the world and is known for innovation, quality, and a strong commitment to its employees. Must-Have Requirements 5+ years of experience as an open table fitter
Experience fitting large parts and working in heavy plate manufacturing
Experience with solid wire or flux core welding
Expert-level blueprint reading
High school diploma or equivalent work experience Preferred Qualifications Heavy manufacturing experience in a job shop environment
Experience with GMAW, Flux Core, and Sub Arc processes What You’ll Do Perform all work safely and responsibly
Read welding instructions and structural drawings
Work from drawings, patterns, fixtures, and specifications to fit up large weldments
Lay out stitch welds and mark weld locations and sizes for welders
Lay out and operate fuel gas and plasma hand torches for fitting
Check that welded parts are the right quantity and quality
Do cleaning, assembly, and straightening work as directed by supervision
Help with welding as needed (GMAW, Flux Core, Sub Arc, etc.)
Move material by forklift and crane, following standard procedures and safety rules
Follow all quality policies, specifications, and instructions
