Dietary Aide

Wyoming Valley Behavioral Health is looking for a part time dietary aide for weekends to join the team!! The dietary aide will be responsible for serving food, cleaning, and stocking the kitchen area while adhering to all safety and sanitation guidelines. Must be capable of following instructions and maintaining all standards. The aide must be competent and conscientious with a customer-oriented approach. The goal is to provide excellent food services by following instructions and standards.

• Prepares trays for patients on units and serves food in cafeteria according to menus.
• Delivers food cart(s) to units.
• Performs dishwashing procedures including pots and pans and all equipment.
• Set up for the next meal.
• Performs cleaning duties in kitchen - serving areas and equipment.
• Checks incoming supplies and restocks storerooms.
• Prepares and delivers snacks and nourishment as ordered by units.
• Checks and records refrigerator temp logs in all patient care areas.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum age of 18.
• Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Prior experience as a dietary aide preferred.
• Experience in customer service preferred.

• ServSafe certification is preferred.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
