Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.What You Will DoDevelopment and ownership of the inventory plan (Raw, WIP, and Finished Goods) aligned with AOP/SFP objectives, including defining action items to achieve targeted outcomesEnsure on-time delivery (OTD) of materials to production lines (on time starts) and customers by managing planning, staging, and fulfillment processesSupport quarterly analysis of Excess & Obsolete (E&O), PFEP, (Effective Material Planning (EMP) and Entitlement, including the development and execution of resulting action itemsCoordinate with the manufacturing team to manage changes in production priorities or order modificationsChampion continuous improvement for material planning, receiving, storage, staging, and WIP controlAssess workload requirements to ensure adequate staffing is in place to support business operations and facilitate training and development of employeesManage the material strategy to support the New Product Introduction to End of LifeOversee the end-to-end materials process for the site, including planning, detailed scheduling, logistics, and delivery commitment, and lead strategic inventory initiativesAccountable for inventory control (e.g., cycle counting) ensuring stock is maintained at an appropriate level and meet site NITO targetsPlay a key role in the manufacturing automation strategy, material release strategy, handling methods, kitting strategy and material movement methods for all parts from storage location through to final deliverySupport site SIOP reviewsMonitor and report on key metrics for the site, ensuring alignment with organizational goals Manage the execution of production schedules set by Production PlannersManage the coordination of Production Planner engagement across the Product Management Team (PMT): master production schedulers, quality, engineering, purchasing, inventory control, program management leaders and other groups, and remove barriers as they ariseCommunicate any changes or production impacts that affect the aligned production planTrack and report execution metrics such as Schedule adherence and On time to release Production Orders and address root cause corrective action as applicableSummarize and present material availability data for the S&OE horizon to site leadershipMentors, guides, and trains all Production Planners, while setting performance goals aligned with organizational objectivesWhat You Will LearnDevelop expertise in capacity management, identifying and addressing long-term capacity gaps to meet customer demands and support the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning process.Refine your leadership abilities by driving part shortage resolutions, overseeing operations to ensure schedule adherence, and contributing to risk mitigation strategiesMonitor Production Planning processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvementsAttend site Tier meetings, support escalation processes, and report on the latest material availability priorities and challenges to execute the production planTrack and report execution metrics (Schedule adherence, On Time to Release Production Orders, Aged WIPEnsure compliance with company policies, materials governance, and audit requirementsResolve escalation of material shortages, bottlenecks, and disruptions; The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
