System Platform Architect

We are seeking a Systems / Platform Architect to design and evolve our enterprise hybrid cloud platform. This environment spans on‑premises infrastructure and public cloud, with a focus on enabling a unified private cloud experience across the organization. This role is responsible for defining the foundational platform architecture that supports all applications—covering compute, storage, networking, and core platform services. You will operate at a strategic level, setting standards, defining reference architectures, and enabling engineering teams at scale. What You’ll Do Design end‑to‑end architecture for hybrid and private cloud platforms Define standards, patterns, and reference architectures across infrastructure domains Architect platforms spanning: Compute, storage, and networking Container platforms and orchestration (Kubernetes) Core infrastructure and platform services Build and evolve an internal platform product used by engineering teams Drive consistency across on‑prem and cloud environments Partner with infrastructure, platform, and application teams to enable scalable solutions Required Qualifications 10+ years of experience in infrastructure, cloud, or platform architecture Strong experience with hybrid cloud and private cloud environments Expertise across compute, storage, and networking at scale Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or similar) Hands‑on knowledge of Kubernetes ecosystems (K8s, OpenShift, Rancher, etc.) Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting GPU or HPC workloads Knowledge of data and streaming platforms (Kafka, Spark) Background in large enterprises with significant on‑prem infrastructure Experience defining architecture for platforms supporting multiple engineering teams Why This Role Opportunity to define the foundation for enterprise engineering platforms Work at the intersection of on‑prem and cloud innovation High visibility role with broad architectural influence across the organization #J-18808-Ljbffr Harnham
