- Monday-Friday
- 5:30 AM-4:00 PM
- 5-10 hours of overtime plus additional overtime when required
- Long-term temporary assignment with potential for permanent hire
- Weld parts and components for equipment, products and installations using MIG, MAG, TIG, stick and other appropriate welding methods
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings and manufacturer specifications
- Plan and lay out work using shop math, measuring instruments and welding specifications
- Set up and operate a conventional lathe to prepare welded parts
- Identify materials and properly prepare components for welding and assembly
- Perform welding repairs on raw and finished parts
- Complete welding installations according to technical drawings and work instructions
- Verify finished work meets quality and workmanship standards
- Troubleshoot and correct welding, process and equipment problems
- Collaborate with machinists, assemblers and other team members to solve production and repair issues
- Meet production goals for efficiency, scheduling and scrap
- Accurately record production and repair information in computer systems or manual logs
- Perform heat treatment operations according to established procedures when required
- Clean and maintain welding equipment, machines and tools while keeping an organized workspace
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment
- Welding experience in a manufacturing or repair environment
- Welder certification
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong understanding of welding methods, materials and quality workmanship
- Mechanical aptitude and good technical understanding
- Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team
- Reliable and dependable attendance
- Customer-service mindset with a focus on quality and on-time delivery
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive arm movements
- Ability to frequently lift materials, with occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends when required on short notice
- High school diploma/GED and/or 0-2 years of relevant experience
- Welding experience in mechanical manufacturing or the valve industry
- PT and MT certifications
- Post-weld heat treatment experience
- SAP knowledge
- Ability to work flexibly, accurately and with initiative
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Available to work full-time
