Job Title: Clean Room Quality Inspector (1st Shift) ($22-25/hr.)

This role focuses on inspecting incoming raw materials and electronic components in a clean room environment to ensure they meet strict quality standards. You perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections, review certifications and documentation, and accurately record results to support reliable production processes. This is a 1st shift opportunity in a highly controlled electronics manufacturing setting. We are looking for someone to interview and start as soon as possible. Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming raw materials and electronic components for compliance with quality requirements.
• Verify quantities, part numbers, certifications, and documentation associated with received materials.
• Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections using measuring and testing equipment such as calipers, micrometers, microscopes, and other inspection aids.
• Review material certifications, Certificates of Conformance (COCs), and other quality documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Accurately record inspection results and maintain complete, organized quality records.
• Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming materials to prevent use in production.
• Generate nonconformance reports and communicate findings to Quality, Purchasing, and suppliers as required.
• Assist in investigations related to supplier quality issues and support corrective actions.
• Ensure materials are properly labeled and dispositioned following inspection activities.
• Maintain awareness of calibration status and ensure proper use and care of inspection equipment.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to quality and receiving processes.
• Utilize computers and software, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, to document inspections and communicate results.
• Read and understand work instructions, assembly drawings, blueprints, and routing cards to perform accurate inspections.
• Perform detailed visual inspections using microscopes and other optical aids to identify defects and abnormalities.
• Handle materials safely and efficiently, including lifting items up to 25 pounds as needed.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of quality inspection or quality assurance experience.
• Proven ability to identify defects and abnormalities in products through visual and dimensional inspection.
• Ability to use a microscope for detailed inspection and successfully pass an eye exam.
• Proficiency in using inspection tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Experience with visual and functional quality checks in a production or electronics environment.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, assembly drawings, blueprints, and routing cards.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Capability to lift up to 25 pounds safely.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording inspection results and maintaining quality records.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working in a clean room or electronics production environment.
• Familiarity with Certificates of Conformance (COCs) and other supplier quality documentation.
• Understanding of basic quality assurance principles and nonconformance reporting.
• Comfort working with microscopes and other precision inspection aids for electronic components.
• Ability to collaborate with Quality, Purchasing, and suppliers during investigations and corrective actions.
• Interest in participating in continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality and receiving processes.

Work Environment

The role is based on an extremely clean, well-lit, and temperature-controlled electronics production floor, with work performed in a quality-focused clean room environment. You work on 1st shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in a setting that uses microscopes, calipers, micrometers, and other precision inspection equipment alongside standard computer software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. The environment supports careful handling of electronic components and materials, with a strong emphasis on cleanliness, organization, and consistent comfort throughout the workday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Solon, OH.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
