Description

• Assess patients covering pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations using established evaluation methods and observational assessments.
• Create individualized treatment strategies addressing immediate goals and the broader spectrum of communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver effective one-on-one therapy targeting areas such as language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing functionalities.
• Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, physicians, nurses, caregivers, and families to formulate comprehensive care plans.
• Provide valuable education to patients and families to bolster progress beyond the clinical environment.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapeutic interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout the treatment process.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with all relevant regulations and organizational standards.
• Commit to ongoing education and professional collaboration to stay abreast of the latest developments in speech-language pathology.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment.
