Role and Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations employing standardized assessments alongside keen observational insight.
• Create tailored therapy plans that focus on immediate goals while nurturing long-term communication, cognitive, and swalllowing requirements.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions that emphasize communication skills, language enhancement, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
• Collaborate seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, family members, and caregivers to design cohesive treatment strategies.
• Provide educational resources and support for patients and their families to foster progress beyond clinical interactions.
• Assist in occasional inpatient evaluations and treatments to ensure consistent and effective care throughout the recovery journey.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Engage in continuous professional development and peer collaboration to stay current in this ever-evolving field.

Education and Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet achieved.

Licenses and Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first month of employment.
