Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel We’re looking for a Pediatric Registered Respiratory Therapist (Peds-RRT) for an immediate travel position opening in Windsor, VT. The right Peds-RRT must have 1 year of recent acute care experience. Read below for additional requirements. As a Peds-RRT, you will provide direct patient care to patients in a variety of clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines. Key Responsibilities Administer a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities. Maintain appropriate patient records and documentation. Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories; evaluate equipment for proper and safe function, and report malfunctions to director. Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples according to procedure guidelines. Interact with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for patients being treated. Respond to emergent situations that may require respiratory support. Physical & Vision Requirements Peds-RRTs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty, and lift up to 20 pounds; patients may require lifting up to 50 pounds. They must have normal close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision and ability to adjust focus. Qualifications Minimum 1 year of acute care experience. Valid NBRC-RRT certification. BLS, ACLS; PALS and NRP may be required in some areas. Additional certifications may be required before beginning the assignment. Job ID: #1425982.
