Journeyman Electrician

Midway Electric is hiring an experienced Journeyman Electrician with 2+ years in the field to join our growing team in Columbia, MO. You'll handle residential and commercial electrical work - service, installs, and troubleshooting - alongside a licensed team that does it right and stands behind the work. We also offer a $2,500 sign-on bonus for new hires. Responsibilities: Install, repair, and maintain residential and commercial electrical systems - wiring, outlets, switches, panels, lighting, and fixtures. Run conduit, pull wire, and make terminations cleanly and to code. Install service upgrades, EV chargers, generators, and whole-home surge protection. Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues in the field. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical plans. Follow the National Electrical Code and local codes; pull permits when required. Communicate clearly with customers and keep a clean, professional job site. Operate a company vehicle responsibly between job sites. Qualifications: 2+ years of hands-on electrical field experience. Solid working knowledge of the National Electrical Code and local building codes. Able to read blueprints, schematics, and electrical plans. Comfortable with both residential and commercial work - service, installs, and troubleshooting. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Reliable, safety-minded, and a strong communicator.
