The technician is capable of identifying various abnormalities and performs tests adhering to Department standards to consistently produce records of high technical quality. The Registered Polysomnography Technician acts a resource person for the Licensed Polysomnography Technician.Education Requirements:1) Graduation from an accredited Polysomnography program with an AAS, registered (RPSGT) through the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists and a valid Polysomnogram License in NYS.Or2) Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program with an AAS and a valid Registered Respiratory Therapy License in NYS. Sleep disorder specialist adds on or are registered (RPSGT) through the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologist, preferred.Experience Requirements:One to three years' experience in a sleep lab.Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.Ability to use applied technology in a clinical setting.Pay Range: $32.29-$46.82Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
