Sr. HR Generalist

Salary: $80k-$95k (Negotiable, depending on experience) plus annual bonus and full benefits package Job Summary Our client is seeking an experienced HR Generalist or Senior HR Generalist to support their multi‑state, multi‑location workforce. This is a highly tactical, hands‑on HR role focused on high‑volume onboarding, employee relations investigations, leave administration, and ongoing HR operations. The ideal candidate thrives in fast‑paced environments, can manage heavy workloads during peak seasons, and is comfortable supporting field‑based teams across multiple states. Job Responsibilities Serve as the point of contact for employee relations issues and conduct thorough investigations into employee concerns. Address and resolve employee relations issues, including conducting thorough internal investigations. Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to continually improve the department's efficiency and services. Maintain employee records, ensuring the completion and accuracy of hiring information, pay rates, and status changes. Process new hires and terminations by reviewing approved field submissions. Provide HR support on acquisitions related to onboarding and integration of employees. Administer and manage all aspects of employee leaves of absence, including FMLA, ADA, and personal leaves. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and coordinate with Safety on Workers’ Comp leaves. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a closely related field. SHRM or HRCI certification is a plus. UKG experience strongly preferred. Must be willing and able to travel about 15‑25%. 5+ years of HR experience with a substantial focus on employee relations, conducting internal investigations, and leave administration. Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey information clearly. Proficient in Microsoft 365 and possess strong data analytical capabilities for effective data management and report generation. Strong knowledge of federal/state employment laws (including California preferred). Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple, diverse tasks with minimal supervision.
