Dental Assistant - Relief

Join our team as a Relief Dental Assistant at Children's Village! Role & Responsibilities Update patient medical records and conduct X-ray procedures including panoramic images and intraoral photographs Record periodontal charting and prepare instruments for provider exams Assist with infection control, sterilize instruments, and perform preventative care like fluoride treatments Monitor nitrous oxide analgesia under provider supervision (Washington only) Educate patients on oral hygiene and assist in infection control programs Support orthodontic procedures such as obtaining records, fabricating retainers, and placing/removing ligature ties May perform lead duties, manage department flow, train staff, and act as liaison between staff and supervisors Qualifications & Skills High School Diploma or GED Within 90 days, obtain BLS certification Dental Assistant registration or EFDA certification; registration must be completed within 7 days of hire Bilingual in English and Spanish at level 10 for differential pay Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, materials, infection control, and oral health education Ability to perform four-handed assisting, with manual dexterity and professional interaction skills Proficiency in Electronic Dental Records, Outlook, Word, and Excel Additional Information This role involves assisting with patient care, sterilization, and supporting orthodontic procedures, with opportunities for leadership and training responsibilities.
