Summary

Our store General Manager leads their dispensary teams in executing best-in-class customer service and creating a positive cannabis dispensary experience to earn our customers' loyalty. You lead teams passionate about ensuring customers get what they came for (plus a little more) every time they shop at your dispensary. You develop team leaders who care about their team members, and team members who care about their customers and each other. We are looking for a detail-oriented, operationally driven Dispensary General Manager to plan and manage all aspects of our high-volume recreational and medical cannabis dispensary. Your primary goal is to create and lead a customer-focused, engaged team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead and create a service culture by modeling, training, and coaching behavioral expectations to deliver Windy City's exceptional service standard
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; lead and hold the team accountable
• Track and achieve various sales metrics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Prepare and effectively lead state inspectors through unannounced inspections
• Maintain the store environment: ensure space is organized, efficient, clean, and welcoming in both front and back of house
• Drive employee morale and embody Windy City values and the Keys to Team Member Success
• Implement new processes and procedures, ensuring seamless communication and execution across all levels
• Manage scheduling to align with guest and business needs (including weekends, mornings, evenings, and overnight shifts)
• Regularly train and develop staff according to company guidelines.
• Oversee all store deliveries with diligence and accuracy, adhering to company and state regulations
• Conduct nightly and monthly inventory audits to ensure there is no diversion of inventory and respond to discrepancies effectively
• Maintain records for all necessary documents: delivery and inventory manifests, logbooks, inventory adjustments, and destruction reports
• Frequently lift, move, and carry store inventory weighing up to 50 pounds

Role Requirements

• 5+ years of successful progressive experience in a management retail position and/or a heavily regulated environment; at least 3 years of experience being the primary point of contact for store operations
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have open availability
• Business acumen with an understanding of P&L, labor budgeting, inventory, and sales reports
• Ability to obtain a dispensing agent identification card issued by the state of Illinois.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and ethical conduct
• Exceptional customer service skills and Positive attitude, team player and strong work ethic
• Must be and remain compliant with any and all regulatory requirements as they pertain to the industry, personnel law, safety regulations, local codes and organizational rules, regulations, directives, standard operating procedures, state and local laws for working in the cannabis industry
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time, use hands to perform manual tasks, and lift or move up to 10 pounds (or more with assistance)
• Must be able to remain focused, pay close attention to detail
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively
