Area Customer Service

Provides operational support and customer service across multiple customer locations within an assigned geographical area. Provides coverage for onsite personnel due to absences, vacations, training, implementations, service expansions, or other business needs. This is a multi-site, customer-facing position. The selected candidate must be willing and able to drive a personal vehicle to different worksites, including Poughkeepsie, NY, Newburgh, NY, and Hyde Park, NY. Employees may be reassigned to another location in the morning or during the workday, sometimes with short notice. MondayFriday schedule with varying shifts, including 7:00 AM4:00 PM and 8:00 AM5:00 PM. Candidates must be available to work between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM. Overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide reception, mailroom, print production, key-op, and general office services at multiple customer locations.
• Perform mailroom operations, including shipping and receiving, sorting, distributing, and handling incoming and outgoing items.
• Perform print production duties, including printing, copying, assembling, and binding.
• Operate and support printers and related equipment by replenishing toner and paper and clearing jams.
• Provide professional, timely, and effective in-person communication and customer service.
• Create and maintain a customer-focused environment.
• Escalate customer issues to management and support resolution through completion.
• Support process improvement, procedural testing, validation, and compliance with operational best practices.
• Support implementation of new customer accounts and service expansions.
• Assist with onboarding new team members and cross-training peers.
• Assist with developing and maintaining Site Procedure Guides and sharing best practices.
• Routinely inspect Site Procedure Guides at various locations for accuracy and compliance.
• Perform daily visual inspections of site services and safety compliance.
• Maintain and accurately submit monthly expenses when applicable and follow proper coding requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Reliable, friendly, outgoing, adaptable, and willing to learn.
• Strong customer service, interpersonal, communication, attention-to-detail, patience, and professionalism skills.
• Print production and mailroom experience preferred.
• Microsoft 365 applications and general computer experience required.
• Must be comfortable working in a customer-facing environment and supporting multiple locations.
• Must be willing and able to drive a personal vehicle between assigned worksites.
• Must be able to adjust work location and schedule on short notice.
• Ability to interpret, comprehend, and apply complex material, data, and instructions.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, stretch, climb, and perform similar physical activities.
• Ability to lift or move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to push or pull wheeled machines that may weigh up to 400 lbs. when moving equipment for repairs.
• Walking between campus buildings may be required.
• Moderate dexterity and regular use of a keyboard, calculator, hand tools, and eye/hand coordination required.
• Close vision required.
• Work may be performed in office or warehouse environments.
• Business casual dress required.
• Parking may or may not be provided free of charge. Eligible parking and commute mileage may be expensed according to applicable guidelines.
• Mileage reimbursement is available when a one-way commute to the site exceeds 15 miles, based on the shortest commute under normal traffic conditions. Weather and traffic delays are not reimbursed.
• Must be willing to complete an additional customer-specific background check and drug screening if required.
• If converted to a permanent position, must maintain the required personal auto insurance coverage.
• Must be available for varying work hours and locations, including sites that may open as early as 6:00 AM, close as late as 7:00 PM or later, or operate on weekends when required.
