Class A Truck Driver

Class A Truck DriverEastford, ConnecticutTrillium Drivers is looking for Class A Drivers in the Eastford, CT area!Drivers will be handling local truckload deliveries, primarily drop & hook, no touch freight. You will be picking up trailers at a customer facility and delivering them to the plant daily, as well as delivering trailers with repaired pallets to the customer's facilities. Schedule is Monday through Friday 10AM-7PM. Pay rate is $26/hour.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDeliver and pick up tractor-trailers containing wooden pallets within certain miles.Expected to make a certain number of deliveries.Expected to work 50+ hours/week.Will be driving a double axle truck with a 53' trailer.Complete paperwork at customer site verifying delivery and retrieval of pallets.Inspect truck for defects before and after trips.Submit reports after trips indicating truck conditions.Maintain driver log through ELD according to U.S. DOT(FMSCA) regulations in locations where required.Experience & QualificationsMinimum 23 years of age.Must possess a valid Class A license to operate a commercial motor vehicle.Must pass a DOT Physical from a nationally registered DOT approved physician.Has not ever been disqualified to drive.Can successfully complete a DOT road test.No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years.1-year CDL-A driving experience within past 3 years.High School Diploma or GED.Ability to maneuver vehicle in difficult situations such as narrow passageways.Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50-75 pound and adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot and stand for entire shift of varying lengths in time. Frequently required to sit, talk hear, walk and use hands to handle, feel and reach.Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, ear protection is mandatory at several locations, safety shoes).Clean MVR.
