Role Description The Speech Language Pathologist at Headway Services is a full-time, on-site role based in New York City. The individual in this role will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in clients across various age groups. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting comprehensive evaluations, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, documenting progress, and collaborating with families, caregivers, and other professionals. The Speech Language Pathologist will provide direct therapy for disorders such as articulation difficulties, language delays, dysphagia, and other communication challenges, while maintaining accurate records and adhering to professional and regulatory standards. The role also involves participating in team meetings, contributing to care planning, and engaging in ongoing clinical education to ensure the use of current best practices. Qualifications Demonstrated proficiency in Speech Therapy, including assessment, treatment planning, and intervention. Strong clinical skills in addressing Speech and Communication Disorders across diverse populations. Experience working with Language Disorders, including receptive and expressive language difficulties. Knowledge and practical experience in evaluating and treating Dysphagia. Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in New York. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or in the process of obtaining it. Strong interpersonal, documentation, and time-management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary setting. #J-18808-Ljbffr Headway Services
