Key Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized care to patients by developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to their specific orthopedic needs.
• Maintain an appropriate patient caseload to ensure that each individual receives dedicated attention and quality care throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• Utilize advanced manual therapy techniques and exercise modalities to facilitate patient recovery and improve mobility.
• Employ evidence-based practices and continually assess patient progress through regular evaluations and documentation.
• Promote alternative non-surgical treatment options that lead to improved patient outcomes while minimizing the need for medication.
• Educate patients on management strategies for their conditions and motivate them to actively participate in their rehabilitation.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff, to coordinate comprehensive care.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment outcomes using EMR software like WebPT to ensure quality care and facilitate continuity in therapy.
• Stay current with the latest research and advancements in physical therapy techniques, integrating new knowledge into practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily serves patients recovering from orthopedic issues, including but not limited to post-operative rehabilitation for joint replacements, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. Our clients vary in age, from young athletes to older adults seeking recovery from significant injuries. Providing compassionate and individualized care is essential to ensure optimal rehabilitation outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; additional certifications are a plus.
• An active and clean Physical Therapist license in Virginia, free from sanctions or board proceedings.
• Proficiency in various manual therapy techniques and a demonstrated ability to develop effective exercise programs.
• Strong technical skills in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems, especially WebPT, for accurate patient documentation.
• A commitment to staying informed on current physical therapy practices and advancements through ongoing education.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated success in managing a diverse patient load and treating various orthopedic conditions.
• Proven ability to achieve positive patient outcomes through effective treatment modalities and patient engagement.

Compensation and Benefits

Joint Medcare Rehab and Wellness Center offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
