JM Construction is a well-established, family-owned remodeling and general contracting company with over 34 years of experience . We specialize in high-quality kitchen and bathroom remodels, home renovations, room additions, and select new construction projects.
We are currently seeking a skilled, dependable, and experienced Lead Carpenter to join our growing team. The ideal candidate takes pride in their craftsmanship, has strong problem-solving skills, and is comfortable leading projects while maintaining excellent communication with customers and team members.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Lead and perform residential remodeling projects from start to finish.
- Extensive experience in all phases of kitchen and bathroom remodeling.
- Proficient in interior trim, finish carpentry, and cabinetry installation.
- Experience with window and door installation.
- Knowledge of deck construction, framing, and general carpentry.
- Working knowledge of basic rough and finish plumbing and electrical.
- Ability to read plans, take accurate measurements, and execute projects with attention to detail.
- Coordinate daily jobsite activities and help keep projects on schedule.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, subcontractors, and team members.
- Identify and resolve jobsite challenges efficiently.

- Proven experience in residential remodeling and finish carpentry.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Dependable, motivated, and professional attitude.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Must have your own basic hand tools.
Previous experience as a Lead Carpenter, Crew Leader, or Remodeling Project Manager is strongly preferred.
