Travel Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer - Echo/Cardiac

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer for a 13-week travel contract at a Level I Trauma, academic medical center with 1,000+ beds, requiring ARDMS/RDCS or RCS certification and at least 1 year of experience.

Job Details

• Large, short-term acute care hospital with 1,000+ beds, operating as a Level I Trauma Center and academic medical center,
• Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer unit,
• 4x10 hour day shifts, 6:45 AM - 5:15 PM, with rotating Saturdays included in the schedule,
• Start times may vary slightly depending on assigned location,
• 40 hours per week,
• Floating required between multiple outpatient and campus locations within approximately a 30-mile radius as needed,
• Charting via Epic,
• On-call is not required,
• Parking is available at a cost of $125/month,

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer experience required,
• ARDMS, RDCS, or RCS credential required,
• Experience at a large trauma center or major acute care facility required,
• Current BLS required,
• Active state license required prior to start date (pending license accepted for consideration),
• 1 professional reference required for consideration,
• License required if applicable,

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply,
• No RTO will be approved for this assignment - this position is intended to provide summer coverage,
• RTO of 7 days or fewer may be auto-approved; requests exceeding 7 days require facility approval,
• Former permanent staff of this facility must have been separated for at least 2 years to be eligible as a traveler,
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates,
• Flu vaccine is required; declinations are not accepted,
• COVID vaccine required; religious or medical exemptions may be considered,
• Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as required by the facility,
