Job Summary The Catering Manager will oversee all in‑house catering operations at our three main cafés and cater to two off‑site buildings without café services. The manager will lead a team of 15, coordinating service for groups ranging from 6 to 2,000 guests. Responsibilities include full scope of catering operations such as drop‑off orders and high‑end plated events, and liaising with chefs to develop complex menus. Responsibilities Supervise all catering events. Handle event operations, including logistics, quality improvement, sanitation, and facility‑related activities. Collaborate with chefs to create menus. Train catering associates in service techniques, menu presentation, and customer service. Track and monitor labor and food costs for each event. Communicate on various levels to include management, clients, customers, and associates; maintain excellent client relationships. Assist in all food‑service‑related activities. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications 2 years of food service experience, including 1 year at the management level. Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations. Required catering experience. Knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation. Financial, budgetary, accounting and computational skills. Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet). ServSafe Certification.
