Details Work in the Labor and Delivery unit on the 3rd floor of a hospital setting 9-bed unit with a 1:1 patient ratio Adult patient population Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM 36 weekly guaranteed hours Every other weekend required Floating to Postpartum required Uses Centricity and Meditech EHR systems Requirements Active RN license (Alabama or Compact) currently in hand Current certifications: BLS, ACLS or ALS-OB, NRP, and EFM Minimum of 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience required Skilled in fetal monitoring and assessment, emergency response, postpartum care, and time management Experience managing conditions such as normal spontaneous labor, preterm labor, gestational hypertension, preeclampsia, placenta previa, placental abruption, fetal distress, umbilical cord prolapse, and postpartum hemorrhage Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration Copies of required certifications must be provided for consideration Additional Information Provide direct patient care for laboring, delivering, and postpartum mothers and their newborns Respond to obstetric emergencies including fetal distress and postpartum hemorrhage Weekly orientation held on Mondays Navy scrubs required; no slogans, graphics, offensive content, or non-compliant footwear permitted Strong communication, adaptability, empathy, and attention to detail are valued traits for this role Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible Candidates who worked permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment American Traveler Job ID P-734019.
