Field Service Technician

The Non‑Kinetic Effects Business Area, part of the Defense Sector at Leidos, currently has an opening for a Field Service Technician at the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command – Chemical Biological Center (DEVCOM CBC) facility located in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your experience supporting the DEVCOM CBC mission in basic and applied research, development, testing, and evaluation to support the U.S. Warfighter during chemical and/or biological events. Primary Responsibilities Toxic chemical monitoring, equipment set‑up, systemization, operation and maintenance of chemical and biological filtration systems including HEPA and HEGA systems. Independently execute and collaborate with Principal Investigators to drive daily respiratory protection objectives, significantly impacting operational efficiency and project delivery. Collaborate with internal subject‑matter experts to drive in‑depth analyses on how applied technologies affect our solutions in respiratory protection. Design solutions to resolve multifaceted technical issues that are vague and demand advanced technical expertise in applied sciences. Communicate effectively with Principal Investigators and stakeholders. Basic Qualifications BS degree with 0+ years relevant experience or AS degree in a technical field with 2+ years of prior relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, 5+ years of prior relevant experience in filter testing and respiratory protection is required. Demonstrated experience and proficiency in the safe use of filter leak test equipment and chemical monitoring equipment. U.S. citizen. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense Secret Clearance. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience working with MINICAMS®, Depot Area Air Monitoring System (DAAMS), and gas chromatography systems. Experience supporting a U.S. Army test and evaluation organization. Experience with 3D printing and Computer‑Aided Design (CAD).
