Job Description:Role Overview:
We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Helpline & Data Entry Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will handle incoming 800-helpline inquiries regarding Medicare, record interaction details accurately into our database, and perform core administrative and office support tasks.
Note: The selected candidate will complete a mandatory 5-day training program on health insurance for Medicare upon joining.
Key Responsibilities:

Helpline & Customer Support: Answer incoming 800 helpline calls promptly, provide accurate Medicare program information, and record details on Client Contact forms.

Call Routing: Forward calls to available volunteer counselors or directly provide counseling assistance when volunteers are unavailable.

Data Entry & Records: Complete daily database data entry for client interactions, update lists, and maintain accurate technical records and files.

Administrative & Clerical Duties: Check voicemails twice daily, forward callback messages to Volunteer Supervisors, manage mailings, assemble information packets, and make copies as needed.

Inventory & Office Maintenance: Monitor office supply levels, notify the Office Manager when materials are low, organize incoming deliveries, keep work areas clean, and recycle paper/boxes.

Training & Presentation Support: Assemble materials for new counselor trainings and presentation packages as requested by Trainers and Volunteer Supervisors.
Qualifications & Requirements:

Experience: Minimum 2 years of customer service, helpline, or call center experience.

Data Entry: Minimum 2 years of hands-on data entry or CRM record-keeping experience.

Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Additional relevant education or administrative experience preferred.

Communication: Exceptional phone etiquette and active listening skills with the ability to convey complex healthcare information clearly.

Punctuality: Ability to consistently arrive for work by 8:00 AM.
