About the Position

License: Must have an active New York Single State RN license. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required. Must-Have: EPIC charting experience is required. Floating within skillset is required. IV therapy experience is required, including starting and maintaining IVs. Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in the Emergency Room. The role involves working various shifts, including both day and night rotations. The contract length for this position is 13 weeks. Candidates must possess an active New York RN license and be certified in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. Experience with EPIC charting is a strict requirement. Nurses will be expected to float within their skillset as the need arises. Strong clinical skills in IV therapy, including blood product administration, phlebotomy, and ventilator management, are essential. The emergency department treats a wide range of emergency cases, including adult and pediatric injuries. Candidates must be able to manage emergency scenarios such as trauma, dysrhythmias, and stroke care. Staffing ratios in the unit are typically 1:5 for adults and geriatrics. Nurses must participate in scheduled weekend shifts and be available for at least every other holiday.
