Essential Functions
- Cuts and/or trims using various industry best management practices.
- Uses wedges, sledges, and chain saws in felling trees or trimmed trunks and in cutting and splitting logs into manageable pieces.
- Herbicide application to prevent further growth as indicated on maps.
- Loads and unloads trucks with logs, stumps, brush, and debris and/or feeds brush into a woodchipper.
- Utilizes best management practices to safeguard other employees and public from jobsite hazards in and around work area.
- Inspects tools, truck, and other work equipment. Requests repair or replacement equipment, when necessary. Maintains good housekeeping on truck and at work locations.
- Commitment to work safe daily.
- Performs other related work, as assigned by superiors.
Starting wages dependent on experience.
Average wages between $15-$20 plus benefits.
