Corporate Legal Assistant

A leading global law firm is seeking a Senior Legal Assistant to support a busy corporate transactions team. This role focuses on Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) filings, lien searches, transactional documentation, and database management in connection with complex financing and development matters. Key Responsibilities Coordinate UCC filing and lien search projects from initiation through completion. Analyze lien search results and monitor project timelines to ensure deadlines are met. Prepare, review, and file UCC financing statements, amendments, assignments, continuations, and terminations. Review transaction‑related documents and related filings for compliance with applicable jurisdictional requirements. Maintain and update UCC databases, track filing expirations, and manage follow‑up actions. Compile filing acknowledgements and ensure accurate recordkeeping. Assist with training initiatives and knowledge‑sharing related to UCC processes and best practices. Maintain accurate daily time entries and support overall team operations. Provide guidance to junior team members as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required 5+ years of corporate legal assistant experience with significant UCC filing (UCC 1 and Article 9) and lien search experience. Strong understanding of UCC filing requirements and related transactional documentation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Highly organized with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and legal technology platforms. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Strong professional judgment, attention to detail, and follow‑through. Ability and willingness to work overtime when business needs require. Preferred Attributes Experience supporting complex financing, secured lending, or corporate transactions.
