Transportation Fleet Driver- Direct Hire! 

Location: Milford, IN
Job Type: Direct Hire
Pay: $30.44
Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday–Friday
Schedule: 40–50 hours per week; occasional Saturdays and overtime required

Job Summary

Zing Recruiting is seeking an experienced CDL Class A Fleet Driver for our client in Milford, IN. This position is responsible for safely transporting high-value products and parts between company facilities, vendors, and customers.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of truck driving experience, a clean driving record, strong safety awareness, and the ability to operate a variety of vehicles, including semi-tractors, straight trucks, and 1-ton trucks with trailers.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport and deliver high-value parts and products between facilities, vendors, and customers.
• Operate semi-tractors, straight trucks, 1-ton trucks, trailers, and other company vehicles.
• Plan and organize delivery routes to ensure efficient and timely transportation.
• Properly connect, operate, and maneuver trailers while following all safety requirements.
• Assist with loading and unloading parts and products while ensuring the correct items are delivered.
• Set up and remove trailer equipment, including sideboards, chains, tarps, and load locks.
• Properly secure loads and ensure vehicles and trailers meet safety and weight requirements.
• Complete required DOT and company driver logs and daily reports accurately and on time.
• Monitor vehicles and trailers for mechanical issues and report problems to the maintenance team.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, compliance, and proper handling of products.
• Work with internal teams, vendors, and customers to ensure successful deliveries and pickups.
• Perform other transportation-related duties as needed.

Requirements

• CDL Class A required.
• Minimum 2 years of truck driving experience required.
• Safe driving record with 0–1 traffic tickets within the past 3 years .
• High School Diploma or GED preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to work around large equipment and loads.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally .
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Good problem-solving and basic math skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills preferred.
• Must be flexible and willing to work occasional Saturdays and overtime.
• Forklift and overhead crane training will be provided.

Work Environment

• Frequent local travel within approximately a 100-mile radius of Milford, IN .
• Outdoor work environment with exposure to hot and cold temperatures.
• Moderate to loud noise levels.
• May work in greasy or dirty areas.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
• Must be comfortable working around trucks, trailers, large loads, and industrial equipment.
