RN-Registered Nurse // NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care $1,267 weekly stipends $26 - $27/hour $936.0 - $972 weekly base pay Onsite Contract Starts 10/26/2026 12 weeks Job Description Day Shift 12 hours/day 3 days/week Title: NICU Registered Nurse Location: Rome Georgia 30165 Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12hr Day Shift - 36 Shift Information: 7a-7p Clinical Interviewing- yes On Call, Call Back Requirements: None Weekend Rotation: EOW Holiday Requirements: Every other or 50% of holidays in contract Floating Requirements: None About Facility: 361 licensed beds Level III NICU Level 2 Trauma Designation Teaching Hospital: Yes, Residency Program Chest Pain Center Stroke Center Unit Information: Beds: 23 Census: Average patients/day: 12-15 Minimum Years of Experience required: 2 years of Level III or IV NICU experience Will you accept a first-time traveler: Yes Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: 23 weeks and above. Respiratory distress, micro-premies, bubble cpap/oscillator, drug and alcohol (eat/sleep/console), observation and treat for hypoglycemia, can treat bili babies, feeders/growers EPIC experience required within about the last year (ask manager approval if more than a year) No surgical interventions or ECMO Patient Ratios: 1:1-3, depending on acuity. Could go up to 1:4 if only feeders/growers Required License, National Certification, Certs: BLS, NRP STABLE preferred Skills required: IV placement, feeding tube placement NG/OG/management, central lines (UAC/UVC/PICC), assisting with bedside procedures (central line placements, etc.), following feed schedule, positioning patients appropriately, critical drips, admissions, peripheral lab draws Support within the Department: NNP 24/7 NICU RT 24/7 OT-CLC during the day 2 Neonatologist on site during the day, on call at night HUC/CNA Charge nurse 24/7 – will try not to give patient assignment Manager/Supervisor during the day Lactation consultant during the day Technology/Equipment: EMR: EPIC – experience required within last year IV Pump: Plum ICU Medical Med dispensing: Omnicell Unit specific equipment: Milk prep room (Angel Eye), Medfusion syringe pump for fluids and for feeds Floating: If yes, where: No Orientation (facility and unit): NEO 2-3 shifts dependent on experience and comfort level Scheduling: Weekend rotation: Every other weekend On call: No Holiday Expectations: Every other or 50% of holidays in contract Approval of RTO: ok to approve up to 5 days. Send any days around holidays to manager for approval Shift times: 0700-1930, 1900-0730 Schedule cycle: Self scheduling for preferred shifts, manager will have final say.
