You'll advise public-sector clients on Medicaid capitation and fee-for-service rate development, policy, forecasting, fiscal analysis, and risk adjustment, while supporting business development and emerging payment-model work.RequirementsMust HaveMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorshipStrongly Preferred5+ years of health actuary experienceConsulting and/or health plan/insurance company experience2+ years of experience with Medicaid managed care capitation rate development and/or fee-for-service rate developmentAbility to travel up to 20-50%Exam progress towards ASA or FSABachelor's DegreeNice To HaveASA with progression to FSA, FSA, or career ASA designationExperience providing Medicaid consulting services to Government agenciesExperience with Medicaid waivers (i.e., 1115, 1915 b/c, 1332)Experience with risk adjustment mechanismsExperience with Provider reimbursement streams (i.e., DSH, UPL, etc.)Experience with health care reform and working knowledge of the individual medical and small group marketsExperience with Medicare products, including Medicare Advantage or Medicare Supplement productsExperience with reimbursement models - including value based care/ACO modelingSkills & DomainDomain Medicaid managed care capitation rate development Medicaid fee-for-service rate development Health actuarial consulting or health plan experience
