Position: Back of House (BOH) Team Member Position Summary: We are seeking dependable and detail-oriented Back of House (BOH) Team Members to support food preparation and kitchen operations at Taíno’s. BOH team members play a critical role in delivering high-quality, consistent dishes while maintaining cleanliness, safety, and efficiency in the kitchen. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to recipes and standards. Ensure food quality, portion control, and presentation meet expectations. Operate kitchen equipment safely, including grills, fryers, and ovens. Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, storage areas, and equipment. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations. Assist with food prep tasks such as chopping, marinating, and sauce preparation. Work collaboratively with kitchen and FOH teams to complete orders efficiently. Assist with dishwashing, restocking, and end-of-shift cleaning duties. Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or needs to supervisors. Properly store food to maintain freshness and minimize waste. Perform additional duties as assigned by kitchen leadership. Requirements Previous kitchen or food preparation experience preferred but not required. Willingness to learn Puerto Rican cooking techniques and menu items. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality. Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. Strong work ethic, reliability, and team-first mindset.
