Registered Nurse (RN) – PsychTryfacta is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) – Psych for our client in Amsterdam, NY 12010. This is a 13 week contract assignment. If you meet the qualifications listed below and are interested, please Apply Now!Position Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – PsychLocation: Amsterdam, NY 12010Duration: 13 Weeks (Extension Possible)Work Schedule: 12-Hour Days & 07:00 AM - 07:30 PMResponsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:Provide comprehensive psychiatric nursing care to patients with mental health and behavioral conditions.Perform patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans.Administer medications and monitor patients for therapeutic response and side effects.Assess patients for suicide risk, aggression, self-harm, or behavioral changes and intervene appropriately.Respond effectively to psychiatric emergencies using de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques.Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, therapists, social workers, and the interdisciplinary care team.Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.Ensure a safe therapeutic environment while following facility policies and infection control standards.Utilize CPI techniques to safely manage crisis situations when necessary.To be considered for this position, you should have:Minimum 5 years of Psychiatric RN experience.Minimum 2 years of Travel Nursing experience.Active New York State RN License.Current BLS Certification.Current CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) Certification.Previous travel assignments with extensions/renewals preferred.Previous employees of this facility are not eligible to work as travelers.Important Notes:Both local and travel candidates are encouraged to apply.The facility may cancel up to 5 shifts during the 13-week assignment without penalty.Tryfacta is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
