Travel Mammography Technologist - Illinois Mobile Screening Assignment

This is not your average travel mammography assignment.

We are supporting a statewide preventive care program designed to bring breast cancer screening directly to working employees across Illinois. As a Mammography Technologist on this assignment, you will help expand access to preventive care for women who may otherwise delay or miss important screenings because of work schedules, travel barriers, or limited access.

Assignment Details

Location: Illinois - Springfield, Champaign-Urbana, and Chicago Metro/Cook County area.

Start Date: Anticipated mid-July 2026.

Length: Temporary W-2 assignment, up to 13 weeks.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, day shift, approximately 40 hours/week.

Pay: $68-$70/hour, W-2, non-exempt.

Estimated Weekly Compensation: $3,045-$3,125/week, based on 40 hours/week and 5 eligible meal/incidental per diem days.

Completion Bonus: $1,500-$2,000 for eligible candidates who complete the agreed assignment, subject to company policy.

Travel Support: Lodging and mileage reimbursement provided for eligible travel.

Credentialing Support: Illinois IEMA-OHS application fee support may be available for eligible candidates, subject to prior approval and company policy.

Flexible Coverage: Full assignment or partial location-based coverage may be considered.

What You'll Do

• Perform 3D screening mammograms in a mobile setting.
• Complete daily quality control.
• Review images for technical quality and positioning.
• Maintain accurate documentation and securely transmit studies.
• Support onsite patient flow and provide a calm, professional screening experience.

Required Qualifications

• Active ARRT RT(R)(M) certification.
• Active Illinois IEMA-OHS accreditation in Medical Radiation Technology, Medical Radiography category, or ability to obtain before performing services in Illinois.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum 2 years of screening mammography experience.
• Ability to provide required MQSA documentation before start.
• Comfortable working independently in a mobile screening environment.

Preferred Experience

• 3D/digital breast tomosynthesis experience.
• Mobile mammography experience.
• Hologic experience.

Assignment Locations
This role will support mobile screening sites across Illinois. The assignment is expected to begin in the Springfield/Sangamon County area, then move into Champaign-Urbana, with the final portion of the assignment taking place in the Chicago Metro/Cook County area.

Candidates may be considered for the full assignment or partial location-based coverage.

Benefits
This is a temporary W-2 assignment. Employees are covered by workers' compensation, unemployment insurance, payroll tax withholding, overtime laws, and applicable paid-leave laws.
