About the Position

Job Title: RN Step Down Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Step Down ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Certification Must-Have: - Experience with high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) - Proficient in BIPAP and stable glycemic management - Knowledge of post-operative care for CABG, AVR, and MVR - Experience in cardiovascular and vascular procedures - Familiarity with abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) repair and lobectomy - Understanding of carotid endarterectomy (CEA) - Experience managing NSTEMI, STEMI, and acute coronary syndrome (ACS) - Proficiency in care of pacemaker patients - Experience with sepsis, gastrointestinal bleeding, post-diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), respiratory failure, and tracheostomy care Description: This position is for a 30-bed step down unit. The nurse will provide care for patients recovering from cardiovascular surgeries and other related conditions. The role requires managing complex cases, including post-operative patients and those with various cardiac and respiratory conditions. Candidates should be adept in advanced cardiac management techniques and possess strong critical thinking skills. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team is essential to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
