Details Work in the ICU of a Level 3 Trauma acute care hospital with 171 staffed beds Patient ratios of 1:2 with occasional 1:3 Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 18:30-7:00) Weekend requirement of 6 shifts per 6-week period No on-call responsibilities May float within scope to Med Surg (1:5) or ER depending on census Common diagnoses/procedures include CRRT, cardiac and cardiac surgery cases (CABG), hemodynamic monitoring, respiratory failure/vent management, DKA, and altered mental status Manages multiple drips and performs central line, arterial line, and CVP setup and management Requires basic dysrhythmia training Uses Epic EMR (experience required) Scrub color varies by unit Free parking available Requirements Active RN license, Oklahoma or Compact, required at time of submission Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required Recent Epic charting experience required within the past year BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Minimum of one successful travel assignment required with no performance or attendance issues Skills required include IV therapy, arterial and central line management, care of ventilated patients, ABG interpretation, continuous IV sedation, and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips Experience with CVA/acute stroke management, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and care of multisystem organ dysfunction/failure required Experience with isolation precautions and PPE required Preferred skills include Impella, IABP, post cardiac surgery care, pre/post cardiac cath intervention, and Swan Ganz monitoring One reference within the past year from a Manager or Unit Supervisor required (Charge RNs not accepted) Additional Information Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients with complex cardiac, respiratory, and multisystem conditions Complete all assigned training modules prior to start date Facility follows a zero-fault attendance policy where any missed shift, regardless of reason, counts as unexcused and may result in warnings or cancellation after repeated occurrences Must commit to completing lab work within 48-72 hours of signing Maximum of 5 total RTO days allowed within a 13-week assignment, with no time off around major holidays and no additional RTO requests after submittal or while on contract No block or special scheduling requests accommodated Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers Candidates who have previously worked at this facility as a traveler or permanent employee must disclose this at submission No background or license issues allowed for consideration American Traveler Job ID P-735417.
