This is a great opportunity for a technology analyst experienced in the financial services industry to join a strong, collaborative team in a role focusing on delivering cutting-edge, industrial strength solutions to our derivatives investment professionals. This individual must be a self-starter with a clear vision, and ability to execute on a variety of engagements across our organization. RESPONSIBILITIESParticipating in architecting the firm’s derivatives technology platform to optimize software structure and modularizationBuild in data transparency and observability capabilities with coherent design patterns for integration with third party vendor toolsManage and coordinate project-based efforts across teams consisting of investment professionals, developers, analysts, QAs, and other stakeholdersChampion the needs of the business partners; act as their fiduciaryDevelop a deep understanding of internal systems and related workflows around entire investment process to help with solution design as well as handling support issuesEnsure quality of product by enforcing high standards in testing and building guardrails and validationsAssist with project management activitiesProvide hands-on analysis for support issues and assist with user trainingProvide regular status reporting and issue tracking on-going projectsQUALIFICATIONS5 or more years of experience as a software engineer involved in application development life cycles5 or more years of software development experience in financial services (with strong understanding of Fixed Income, Equity, FX, and Derivative instruments)Experience with Calypso Financial SoftwareProficiency in at least one the follow computer languages: Java (strongly preferred), JavaScript, ScalaWorking knowledge of modern system design, software development principles, and methodologiesPrior working experience in modern data management life cycle in real-world business contextsComfortable with test driven development, continuous integration, metadata driven software, and agile development methodologiesExperience working in an Agile/SCRUM development processExperience in financial data domain is preferred, especially in derivatives trade and market reference dataExperience with Amazon Web Services is a strong plusExperience in modern data technology stacks, e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, Big Query is preferredExperience with modern enterprise data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Databricks and Postgres is preferred.Hands-on experience in SQL or other relational database technologies is desirableBachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, finance, engineering, or related field is highly desiredNON-TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTSStrong analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal are requiredExcellent organization and delivery skills are requiredExcellent written, verbal communicationDemonstrate strong client focus and relationship management skillsWillingness to work independently in an energetic, fast-paced, business-critical environmentCommitted to deliver project on time and overcome obstaclesStrong team player with the ability to work in collaboration across teamsStrategic mindsetStrong work ethicIntellectual curiosityNot sure you meet 100% of our qualifications? The base salary range for this position is:USD 90,000 - 180,000This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; role; skills and experience; certifications; and education.
