About the Position

Job Title: IMCU/Step Down Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in IMCU/Step Down nursing License: Active RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Experience caring for higher-acuity patients, including trach and ventilator patients - Ability to manage critical care drips and titrated infusions - Experience with complex cardiac and respiratory patients Description: We are looking for IMCU/Step Down RNs. Ideal candidates should have experience caring for higher-acuity patients. Candidates will float between units based on skill sets. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. The expected patient ratios are 1:3 and 1:4. Traveling staff may be required to float between different units and facilities. Candidates must have a vehicle for this assignment. Refusal to float to other units may result in termination of the assignment. Candidates must be able to work 3 of the 5 major holidays. This unit cares for intermediate care/step-down level patients. Complex cardiac and respiratory patients are common in this unit. Candidates should be prepared for a challenging and rewarding work environment.
