Position Type: Contracted Special Education Teacher
Schedule: Full-Time
Compensation: $45-$60/hour (Based on Experience and Credentials)
About the Role:
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Extensive Support Needs (ESN) Special Education Teachers to join a supportive school community in Lancaster, California. We currently have two full-time self-contained classroom openings serving 2nd–3rd grade students. This is an excellent opportunity to make a lasting impact while working with a collaborative team committed to student success.

Full-Time Extensive Support Needs (ESN) Special Education Teachers:
- Self-Contained Classrooms
- Grades 2–3
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to students with extensive support needs in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals while maintaining compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families to support student success.
- Assess student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and use data to inform instructional decisions.
- Implement individualized academic, behavioral, communication, and functional life skills instruction based on student needs.
- Foster a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes independence, engagement, and student growth.
- Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies, accommodations, behavior intervention techniques, and positive behavior supports.
Qualifications:
- Valid California Education Specialist Instruction Credential with Extensive Support Needs (ESN) authorization (or Moderate/Severe credential, as applicable).
- Experience teaching in self-contained Special Education classrooms preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to supporting students with complex learning, behavioral, and communication needs.
- Familiarity with IEP processes and special education compliance requirements.
