Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours per Week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility and accountability for a group of patients throughout a designated shift, delivering care consistent with the nursing process and medical plan of care
• Provide triage, treatment, and support for trauma and emergency patients of all ages in an acute care setting
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary health care team members to coordinate and deliver patient care
• Incorporate patient and family teaching and discharge planning into the overall plan of care
• Delegate aspects of patient care delivery to other nursing staff based on clinical competence and legal scope of practice
• Document and chart patient care accurately using electronic health record systems, including EPIC

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required at time of hire
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required at time of hire
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification required
• EPIC experience within the last 12 months and recent Cerner experience required; each work history entry must indicate the charting system used

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Acute care facility experience
• MICN and CEN certifications
• Demonstrated competency in IV Sedation and Dysrhythmia
