Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of residents to assess their physical capabilities and identify specific treatment needs.
• Create, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans to improve residents' strength, mobility, and functional independence.
• Administer a variety of therapeutic modalities, such as manual therapy and therapeutic exercises, tailored to address unique physical impairments.
• Monitor patient progress through diligent documentation and adapt treatment strategies based on evolving needs.
• Educate patients and their families on preventative measures, home exercises, and strategies for maintaining optimal physical health.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure a holistic approach to patient care, ensuring every aspect of a patient's well-being is addressed.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as professional standards, to uphold the integrity of our practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work primarily with residents facing orthopedic challenges, which may include post-surgical rehabilitation, chronic pain management, and recovery from injuries. A willingness to engage with a diverse demographic, including older adults and individuals recovering from serious injuries, is essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Active licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.
• A Master's Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrated ability to create and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
• Solid communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and interdisciplinary team members.
• A commitment to professional development and continuous education.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably within a rehabilitation facility or skilled nursing environment.
• Experience working specifically with the geriatric population and individuals with orthopedic concerns is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits
