Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our Rehabilitation Center located in the vibrant community of Wesley Chapel. Our interdisciplinary team consists of physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals who collaborate closely to optimize therapeutic outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, gathering pertinent information from various sources including patient interviews, physician referrals, family input, and interdisciplinary team discussions to assess conditions affecting mobility.
• Create personalized treatment plans that are aligned with the continuum of care, providing specific and measurable goals tailored to each patient's rehabilitation needs.
• Utilize advanced therapeutic techniques and modalities, such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and specialized equipment to promote recovery and restore function.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment strategies, progress, and home exercise programs to promote engagement in the rehabilitation process.
• Regularly re-evaluate patients to assess progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans, ensuring they are always tailored to the patient's evolving condition.
• Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and best practices within the rehabilitation department, maintaining the highest standards of safety and patient care.
• Document patient care activities accurately in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards to facilitate optimal billing and care continuity.
• Participate in departmental meetings, contributing insights and suggestions to enhance the rehabilitation process and improve team performance.
• Stay updated on best practices in physical therapy and engage in continuous professional development to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our physical therapist will primarily work with orthopedic patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions impacting movement. You will facilitate rehabilitation for individuals of all ages, with a focus on providing age-specific care that recognizes the unique needs and responses of different patient demographics. Your compassionate approach will contribute significantly to their recovery journey, aiming to help them regain independence and a high quality of life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Physical Therapist license in the State of Florida (temporary license acceptable).
• Current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in an orthopedic rehabilitation setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to facilitate documentation and patient records management.
• Proficiency in various manual therapy techniques and therapeutic modalities is an advantage.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 120,000 to 130,000 annually, reflecting your experience and expertise. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package which includes:
