Accounting Operations Supervisor

Salary range: $29.00 - $35.00 per hour.

Work location: Hybrid; Vancouver, WA.

The Accounting Operations Supervisor is responsible for the administration and coordination of the general functions of the Accounts Receivable and Data Entry Support team. This individual works closely with residential leadership and monitors key operational metrics, ensuring timely and accurate reporting in accordance with Holland Partner Group's Core Values.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Lead, train, coach, mentor, and supervise the Accounts Receivable and Data Entry Support teams.
• Participate in the development of performance goals and objectives for the department.
• Partner collaboratively with residential leadership and other accounting team members to ensure the department is supporting the success of the properties and achieving business goals and objectives.
• Drive department goals and objectives, maintaining accountability and recommending process changes to promote efficiency.
• Review and approve monthly AR close
• Complete monthly KPI reporting.
• Monitor utility charge postings and invoice notices.
• Conduct internal audits as assigned, including employee leases, tenant refunds, and invoice processing, to ensure objectives and goals are met.
• Manage Accounting department Close Calendar and AR Close Calendars.
• Maintain and update workflow documentation, electronic forms, and training material.
• Manage one-on-one training with the property teams on write-offs, purchase orders, and service contracts upon request.
• Setup and maintain property management fee schedules and systems.
• Complete monthly property billbacks including department petty cash card.
• Coordinate communication and facilitate efforts between Holland and third-party vendors that interface with company accounting systems.
• Collaborate with the appropriate accounting team members to ensure utility setup and ongoing maintenance of accounts is completed monthly.
• Oversee Accounting Department internal peer appreciation and anniversary recognition programs.
• Represent Holland Partner Group in a professional manner at all times.
• Perform all other duties as directed and assist the overall team effort.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education : High School Diploma or equivalent is required. A college degree in Accounting or related coursework is strongly preferred.

Experience : Four (4) years' experience in accounting or related field required. Previous residential or commercial property management experience strongly preferred. Two (2) years' supervisory experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Knowledge of basic accounting principles (i.e., journal entries, debits, credits, etc.).
• Ability to accurately perform intermediate mathematical functions.
• Ability to supervise, mentor, and motivate employees.
• Demonstrated high level of skill in both verbal and written communication.
• Exemplary organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Must possess judgment, initiative, and be self-directed and self-motivated
• Knowledge property management systems, including Yardi software experience, preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to effectively prioritize competing demands under challenging time frames.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to understand, train on, and clearly explain legal documents.
• Eye for detail; accuracy is imperative.
• Ability to process and handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner.
• Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees while inspiring respect and credibility.

Attendance : This full-time position requires regular and punctual attendance compliant with the schedule set to meet company needs. Additional hours or overtime may be required.

This position also requires:

• Ability to lift or move up to twenty (20) pounds.
• Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
• Fluency in English both verbally and non-verbally.
