Technical Sales Representative

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionOrganomation is seeking a motivated Technical Sales Representative to join our Sales and Marketing team on-site in Berlin, MA. Applicants must be available to work on-site 40 hours a week, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.You will interact with laboratory managers, researchers, other natural science professionals, and equipment distributors to match Organomation’s instrument lines with customer research and sample prep needs. Consequently, an in-depth understanding of Organomation's sample preparation products is required to match analytical solutions to customer needs. On-the-job training will be provided, but a background in chemistry or a related field is required. Prior experience with analytical laboratory techniques (such as solvent evaporation, solvent extraction, and LC-MS sample preparation) is preferred.A successful candidate must be able to multitask and manage various aspects of daily operations including, but not limited to: lead nurturing, sales development, customer service, international and domestic shipping logistics, tracking and analyzing sales and marketing metrics, supporting and implementing sales and marketing initiatives, and continuing development of Organomation’s internet objectives.Responsibilities:Respond to and qualify incoming inquiries and quote requests via email and phoneManage all steps of the sales process from qualification to quote creation to order acceptance and shipping.Foster and support relationships with customers and distributors through responsive follow-up communications designed to increase customer interest in Organomation's productsMaintain high deal closure to meet the Company's growth objectivesInteract with 3rd party contractors and suppliers and meet multiple deadlines in a timely fashionField a range of phone inquiries, including requests for quotes, product recommendations, and technical supportAssist with other projects as neededRequirements and Desired Skills:Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemistry or a related field1-2 years experience sales or customer service is preferred but not requiredExcellent written and verbal communication skills.
