Job Full Description

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join a growing team in Smithville, TN. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of hands-on experience operating a variety of heavy equipment and a strong commitment to safety, productivity, and quality workmanship. Experience in grading, septic system installation, and utility services is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate heavy equipment, including but not limited to:
- Excavators
- Skid Steers
- Dozers
- Backhoes
- Loaders
Perform excavation, grading, trenching, and site preparation work.
Assist with septic system installation and utility service projects.
Read and interpret site plans, grades, and project specifications.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections.
Maintain equipment and report any mechanical issues promptly.
Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
Work effectively with crew members, supervisors, and subcontractors to complete projects efficiently.

Qualifications

3-5 years of heavy equipment operating experience required.
Proven experience operating excavators, skid steers, and other construction equipment.
Previous experience with grading, septic installations, and utility services preferred.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Strong attention to safety and quality.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical job duties as needed.
