Finance Business Manager - Anaplan

The PSE Financial Planning & Analysis team is seeking a qualified candidate for the role of Finance Business Manager – Anaplan . Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic finance professional to play a pivotal role in this transformation. In this position, you will serve as the primary representative for the Budgeting team during the implementation of Anaplan, supporting both O&M and capital spend initiatives. This role functions as a key business partner ensuring alignment between finance requirements and system capabilities. You will be deeply involved, partnering across the organization as Anaplan is implemented over approximately one year and S/4 HANA continues across multiple years. Following implementation, you will take the lead in building and managing the Anaplan Center of Excellence, establishing best practices, governance and long‑term value for the enterprise. The role also involves developing advanced analytical tools, performing qualitative and quantitative analyses to inform decision‑making, supporting corporate initiatives, solving complex business challenges, and driving interdepartmental alignment on assumptions, methodologies, model design and procedures. You will advise leadership on corporate strategy, operational performance, financial planning, treasury and risk management. Job Responsibilities Develop comprehensive financial models supporting financial planning needs. Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria. Determine procedures and coordinate activities of others. Build reports and analyze data to identify risks and opportunities and make recommendations. Continuously improve analytical capabilities via networking and staying current on innovations in financial metrics and techniques. Contribute to optimization of corporate performance through short and mid‑term financial planning, accounting issues review, and corporate spending authorization process. Produce presentations for management, Board of Directors and external investors. Lead delivery of recommendations from quantitative and qualitative analyses. Anticipate and identify areas of opportunity or inherent business risks, communicate action plans to stakeholders. Provide business performance analysis support. Advise and lead process improvement efforts. Promote use and acceptance of leading practices, benchmarking and other best practices. Demonstrate company and industry acumen, synthesize complex issues and communicate to management. Collaborate with directors and senior management to drive strategic initiatives and business objectives. Focus on customer needs, improve customer experience and drive cross‑functional initiatives. Innovate and lead process improvements, develop new procedures and systems informed by stakeholder feedback. Thought leader using strategic thinking and critical reasoning to create solutions and drive value. Influence using analysis to provide expert cross‑functional feedback aligned with strategic objectives. Lead interdepartmental projects, guide and train senior staff, delegate efficiently and manage departmental objectives. Partner with business to ensure strong foundation for business and financial acumen. Identify, initiate and drive improvements in budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes. Monitor, analyze and manage workload for optimal time management and prioritization. Solve data roadblocks independently and present solutions to directors and above. Develop error‑free quantitative models with strong logic and clear understanding of problem. Drive projects from start to finish with a sense of urgency and high quality. Coach and mentor junior employees. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field. 7+ years in finance roles with progressively increasing responsibility, preferably in the utility industry. Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills; ability to interface with all levels of management. Ability to identify continuous improvement opportunities and drive solutions independently in a fast‑paced, stressful, multitasking environment. Desired Qualifications Master's Degree in a quantitative field or MBA. Applicable finance certification (CFA, CPA, CTP). 5+ years of experience in the gas and/or electric industry. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and create capacity. Ability to anticipate unique business decisions and respond accordingly. Experience leading and delivering projects under tight deadlines. Work experience in a supervisory role. 3‑5 years of Anaplan model building—design, build and maintain scalable, efficient Anaplan models to support financial forecasting and workforce planning. Additional Information We offer a competitive total rewards package with a pay range of $108,200.00 to $180,200.00. The position is eligible for annual goal‑based incentive bonuses.
