Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics, employing both standardized assessments and keen observational skills.
• Create tailored treatment plans focused on immediate and long-term goals related to communication, cognitive abilities, or swallowing functions.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions targeting various areas, including fluency, language mastery, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
• Collaborate seamlessly with an interdisciplinary team of physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to craft cohesive strategies for care.
• Provide essential education for patients and their families, enhancing their understanding and encouraging progress between therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure continuity of care throughout patients' journeys.
• Maintain meticulous documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational regulations, assuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Engage in continuous professional development and collaboration with peers to stay updated on evolving practices within the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of joining our team.
