Quest Energy Group has been engaged by a growing EPC / Engineering Services firm to identify an experienced Engineering Manager (P.E.) to lead its Tulsa engineering and design operations.

This is an opportunity for a hands-on engineering leader who enjoys developing people, managing capital projects, and building a high-performing team.

You'll lead an established team of approximately 4 engineers and 5 designers, overseeing engineering execution and managing small to medium capital projects ranging from $100K to $1M for major midstream and downstream operators.

We're looking for someone who brings the technical credibility of a Professional Engineer, the leadership ability to develop a multidisciplinary team, and the project management experience to take capital projects from concept through completion.

This is not simply a position managing an existing team. You'll have the opportunity to help shape and grow the Tulsa engineering operation as the business continues to expand.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers, with responsibility for engineering quality, project execution, resource allocation, and team performance.
• Manage small to medium capital projects ($100K–$1M) for midstream and downstream facilities, including refinery, petrochemical, pipeline, and industrial infrastructure projects.
• Oversee project execution from initial scope development and engineering design through procurement support, construction coordination, commissioning, and project closeout.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, engineering deliverables, client expectations, and multidisciplinary design coordination.
• Serve as Engineer of Record (P.E.) for engineering work produced by the Tulsa office, ensuring compliance with applicable engineering codes, standards, and QA/QC requirements.
• Work directly with clients, project managers, and discipline leads to deliver engineering solutions for facility modifications, equipment upgrades, infrastructure improvements, and brownfield capital projects.
• Support the continued growth of the Tulsa operation through team development, recruiting, client relationships, and engineering resource planning.

What We're Looking For

• Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Oklahoma, or the ability to obtain Oklahoma licensure immediately through reciprocity.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of engineering experience, including at least 3 years in an engineering leadership or management role.
• Experience managing engineers and designers within an EPC, engineering consulting, or engineering services environment.
• Hands-on project management experience delivering capital projects in the midstream, downstream, refining, petrochemical, or industrial processing sectors.
• Strong understanding of engineering design, project scheduling, budgeting, resource planning, and multidisciplinary project execution.
• Willingness to remain actively involved in project management while leading and developing the engineering team.

Experience That Will Set You Apart

We're particularly interested in Engineering Managers, Engineering Group Managers, Lead Engineers, and Project Engineering Managers who have worked directly with operating facilities on smaller, fast-moving capital projects.

Ideal experience includes:

• Brownfield engineering, facility modifications, equipment replacement, plant upgrades, and capital improvement projects.
• Refinery and petrochemical plant engineering, pipeline infrastructure, and midstream facility projects.
• Managing multiple concurrent projects with varying scopes, schedules, and engineering requirements.
• Leading multidisciplinary engineering and design teams while maintaining direct involvement in project execution.
• Developing client relationships and supporting the growth of an engineering services operation.

The Ideal Candidate: An experienced Engineering Manager with a P.E. who has successfully managed capital projects, enjoys leading and developing engineers and designers, and wants an opportunity to help grow an engineering operation rather than simply maintain one.
