Senior Software Engineering Manager

Salary: $100,000 - 145,000 per year Requirements:

• Active DoD Secret or TS/SCI Security Clearance
• Proven experience in utilizing Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) techniques for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining complex software systems
• Demonstrated proficiency in high-level programming languages such as Java or C++
• Experience with software development and testing in a Windows OS environment
• Bachelor's Degree with at least 9 years of relevant professional experience, or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of related experience. If lacking a degree, a minimum of 13 years of related experience is required
• Proven background in backend application development, including:
• - Multi-process/multi-thread environments
• - Network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP)
• - Utilization of complex data structures using various storage/access methods
• - Storage and retrieval of data and configuration parameters with extensible data formats such as XML or JSON

Responsibilities:

• Conduct research, design, and development of application software within multi-tier architectures to configure and manage Mission Communications Systems equipment
• Analyze requirements to evaluate the feasibility of designs within time and cost limitations
• Develop and analyze design trade-offs in relation to scope, cost, and scheduling constraints
• Perform coding and unit testing of the resulting software
• Execute software component integration
• Participate in peer reviews
• Identify, track, and resolve defects
• Support continuous improvement, process innovation, and lessons-learned activities within the software development process
