Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Inpatient Pharmacy Manager needed in beautiful Glenwood Springs, Colorado!
This is a great opportunity for an experienced pharmacy leader who can balance clinical oversight with day-to-day pharmacy operations and staff management.
Position:
- Contract: October-January (Possibly longer)
- ASAP start
- Full-time, 40 hours/week
- Monday–Friday day shift
- Must be available to cover evenings, overnights, or weekends when staffing needs arise
- Travel allowances available for lodging, meals, and incidentals
- Pay: $3,600/week +
Responsibilities:
- Oversee inpatient pharmacy operations and pharmacy staff
- Ensure safe, appropriate, and cost-effective medication use
- Develop and enforce pharmacy policies and procedures
- Manage medication procurement, storage, preparation, and inventory
- Maintain controlled substance accountability and compliance
- Develop schedules and monitor pharmacy workload
- Support staff education, competency, and performance
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and hospital committees
- Step in as a staff pharmacist when needed
Requirements:
- PharmD required
- Current Colorado Pharmacist license in good standing
- EPIC experience required
- Graduate of an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy
- Demonstrated leadership in pharmacy operations and clinical services
- Strong regulatory knowledge and clinical judgment
- BLS - American Heart Association
- ACLS - American Heart Association
- Flu vaccine required
