Assistant Operations Manager – Food & Beverage Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach and Spa, Hyatt Hotels, Honolulu, HI is a large complex of 1230 rooms and is currently looking for an Operations Assistant Manager – Food & Beverage to join our Food & Beverage Team. The Assistant Operations Manager – Food & Beverage will oversee multiple food and beverage areas within the hotel. Responsibilities Schedule, forecast, and train staff while ensuring compliance with federal, state, local laws and all operating procedures. Maintain strong communication and analytical skills, working as part of a team and following through on assigned tasks. Multi‑task in a high‑pace environment that covers multiple outlets. Open and close restaurant and bar operations, manage end‑of‑day reports, inventory requisitions, and perform daily walk‑throughs to ensure compliance with Department of Health regulations and Hyatt/property standards. Provide floor presence during service hours, supervising colleagues, training new employees on company procedures and policies, coaching and mentoring staff, documenting corrective action, and conducting disciplinary discussions. Ensure customers receive prompt attention from waitstaff and bartenders in line with outlet and brand standard operating procedures. Coach and counsel colleagues on performance to maintain Hyatt and property service standards. Process payroll and scheduling for food and beverage outlets; follow up on projects and outstanding requests from other departments. Act as a liaison for the food and beverage spaces within the property, overseeing all public‑facing outlets and managed areas. Resolve guest and customer complaints to maintain a high level of guest and customer satisfaction, including responding to online feedback. Ensure F&B employees are attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests and colleagues. Work with the management team to implement policies and procedures that increase guest and colleague satisfaction. Assist in hiring, training, and onboarding new colleagues in collaboration with the management team. Qualifications Strong communication and analytical skills. Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment. Previous experience in food and beverage operations is preferred. Benefits Salary range: $70,000 – $80,000 a year.
